Fantasy Illustrated Team-Up!
This cover for Fantasty Illustrated #7 has the magic. Dan Adkins was a vital part of some of the most famous of Wood's output, particularly the THUNDER Agents. Here we see Wood operating as inker on an Adkins drawing. Those wacky constructions which frame the image of the threatened space man are not of the Wood but come from other sources, though the oddly organic feel to them fits.
