I was unaware that Wally Wood did an Alka-Seltzer ad. It's a humdinger too as can be seen above. He crafted some of those rather distinctive Woodian critters he could fabricate from time to time and they represented the myriad foods and foodstuffs that have braced mankind's tummies for centuries. You can see his little "Wood" signature right next to the bayonet underneath the green beans.
Here is a preliminary drawing Wood did for the ad, and as can be readily seen he was pretty on point from the get-go with the kinds of evil vittles he wanted to populate the ad with. This was not only part of a print ad campaign but got onto TV as well. Check this out.
